Three weeks ago I sold my friend a laptop and he promised he would pay a week later. He said he was waiting to get paid from his job so I said it's ok. It's been over a month now and he still hasn't paid me. He has been avoiding my calls and I even went to his house a couple of times but he never opened the door. Should I go to the police? Can they do anything for me?

It's a civil issue, the Police can't do anything about it.
