I don't think it's likely he'll ever be a police officer again. Even if he is found not guilty (which doesn't seem possible- the victim had texts from him on her phone and he was caught fleeing the country), I think his chances of being rehired as a PO are pretty slim.
I'll be surprised if this...
I'm the opposite. I trust until given reason to not trust. What good does it do to automatically assume the worst about everybody? I don't appreciate being untrusted through no fault of my own, and I don't do it to other people.
I don't know much about specifics to look for in buying one, guv, but I do know two people who have bought retired police department cars at auctions, and they seem to be a great value. They are nice beefy cars with lots of power and hold up to tons of abuse. One guy has had his for over 10...
Charles Belk is a TV producer who was visiting Beverly Hills for the weekend for the Emmys. He went out to feed a parking meter, and was immediately arrested for robbing a CitiBank.

Another thing that hasn't been mentioned is that your store will most likely have to pay a hefty fine and could possibly lose their liquor license over it. You may also have consequences to pay at you place of employment.
Good luck!
I am against the death penalty for several reasons.
One, as long as there is a chance that an innocent person can be put to death, the price is too high. As people are often let out of prison after many years and having been found innocent due to new evidence, it is likely and probable that the...
That's what I can't understand. Even long before the Ferguson debacle, people have been filming police behaving badly everywhere. There was even film of Rodney King and that was decades ago! What is going on with their training, or lack of, that they aren't remembering that they should be...
That was a great article. It is absolutely crazy how events unfolded and led him to being naked in a padded room. The absurdity of it is mind-boggling.
Unfortunately, the only thing he (or anyone else, for that matter) can take away from this whole thing, is to not get involved when people...
It is unfair to ask him to change out of his uniform, in my opinion. Not only is it unfair, but we shouldn't be teaching our children to be afraid of police officers. Maybe they should instead ask him to speak at an assembly so he can make the children more comfortable with seeing law...
Cops Filmed Beating Suspect During Arrest At Walmart
I'm aware the footage of the beating doesn't show the whole story, but it doesn't look like the man was acting in a way that warranted a beating. Sure, he was acting strange, and even tried to steal a cash register drawer. But breaking the...
Absolutely! Not only do cams protect the general public, they also protect the police officers themselves from lying civilians. Win-win. Everybody behaves better on camera, and we could do with a lot of behaving better from both sides!
when I was working out pretty heavily, I was drinking Premier High Protein shakes from Sam's Club. They were really reasonably priced. I get queasy if I eat in the morning, and the shake was perfect. I guess I could have made them myself, but I really *hate* cleaning my blender!
I thought they...
Have you tried talking to them first? Maybe they are unaware that they are bothering anyone. It's not a big deal to just ask them to please keep it down at night. I just don't think calling the police should be your first course of action. If you've already talked to them, I apologize :)
There's so many reasons why victims of abuse stay, steve. It's not an easy matter of just saying someone should go if they're being abused.
Here's an article on why victims stay with their abusers. If it were that easy to leave, there wouldn't be prolonged abuse.
Why Do People Stay in...
I cannot last long at all. I will leave the house and find free wifi somewhere if I have to! There's always the library, or Starbucks. We all get grumpy in our house if the internet isn't working!
I don't think it's a matter of looks, but practicality.
I'd definitely go with the contacts. You won't have to worry about them falling off at an inopportune time, or obstructing your vision with smudges or debris. Especially when the weather is nasty. Also, it might be safer in an altercation...
Ada, Oklahoma has a police officer who is well known to be cold and heartless. Some even call him a dummy right to his face! Yet this officer is by far the town's favorite cop!

My favorite law enforcement show right now is "The Killing". I'm not sure if it's on regular TV- I watch it on Netflix. Before that, the only one I really liked was "Twin Peaks". And that was a mighty long time ago!
I can't stop watching *any* of the gymnastics events when they are on. Women, men, floor, bars, whatever. It doesn't matter. I'm hooked. I'm the same way with curling for winter Olympics. It seems like such an absurd sport but I love watching it!
