Do police officers surf the net at work?

I was surprised to read an article on how much Internet porn is looked at on the job. To me, work is the most unsexy place in the world. And, when I surf the net, it's usually shopping sites, CNN and forums. Otherwise, I just talk to a neighbor when I feel more like playing than working.

Do police officers surf the Internet?

And, if so, what sites do they like?

Who knows they may surf on Youtube looking for some comic relief. I remember there was this one case I think it is in Ohio a police sergeant pulled over a woman and when he went back to his police car he unzips his pants and starts masturbating to porn. He even made comments like "Oh baby show me those yummy juicy breasts". It was nasty he then comes out of the car and hands the lady her citation I think for speeding which there is a Youtube vid on that.

I'm pretty sure they do when they're bored and have nothing else to do, now, when does that happen? I don't know if it's very often that they have free time to search the web.

Indeed, it's all about having the time for it. If they have nothing to do at a certain point in time, why wouldn't they surf the web? However if they should be doing other stuff, that's a different matter entirely.

ha Ha ha..ROFL now.The cops will envy me for what i am doing now..While they stand in the sun roasting their i am here cooling my heels.They can't access the internet as we do obviously if they are in to field work.
They do access and surf the web when they find free time or when they have no work to do..

But the real question should be: Isn't this the norm? I have a typical 9-5 work type job. And yes, I do occasionally "coast" though web site while there's nothing to do.
But is a good idea, right? It increases productivity? Making "spanking the monkey" make people more productive throughout the day?

Yeah, I don't think they are suppose to but they do when they get bored. As long as it's nothing bad,they shouldn't get in trouble. I agree, i would never look at porn or anything to that nature at work or school...ew. I just browse for "fun" things.
