    Where Are The Riots?

I'm going to play devil's advocate here: The riots are not in motion when a white man is attacked (by police OR randoms) because that white man isn't harassed or mistreated every day by the powers that be. That's the general idea.

Dangers Of Craigslist Meetups and Sales

Wasn't there a story about this a while back concerning the older parents of some children who said they went missing? Only to find they too were murdered? I guess Craigslist is the most popular nowadays but this has always been the case since the dawn of 'internet dating' or 'meetups' or...

    WOW! Just wow!

I just saw a report last night on the late news concerning this. The woman who directly responded to the call was trying to explain that she understood hunger & it helped her understand his position. I think it's amazing that he lasted as long as he did but perhaps there was a level of concern...

    Are police officers paid enough?

No, I never felt they made enough. I also don't think teachers make enough or nurses or firefighters or garbage collectors even. That might just have to do with my general feeling that a lot of people deserving of more money are stuck where they are.

    Domestic disturbance calls

I'm speaking specifically to repeat offenders. At a certain point (because it's human nature), the people calling stop calling as often & the police coming to the scene can only do so much. Because, again, you cannot help those uninterested in helping themselves. Calling to create distance from...

    Amtrak derails

It's scary that we rarely get any real answers after things like this occur. What I mean is the media lights up like a Christmas tree for these disaster stories but neglects to round the bases. They're fine running to first & ignoring the rest of the game. It bothers me that I have to look to...

    Time for the riots?

I get immensely frustrated with things of this nature. A riot is rarely necessary nor is it effective. If you're looking to bring attention to something I can see it serving a point. If you're looking to be effective in any other way? No. I don't. Change always comes from within & when it...

    Are the Police finally listening?

Either way police brutality exists. That's the bare bones truth of the matter. I don't care if it's a white officer assaulting a white officer or a black officer assaulting a black officer or a white on black or an Asian against an Australian. Meaningless. Abuse is abuse & if the media was doing...

Should It Be Considered An Offense?

Arresting anyone is not the solution to anything. It's not the solution to most crimes we arrest people for as it is now. I think the solution to this is addressing the problem when it presents itself. I read something up there where fining would be a solution & it made me think 'is that...

What's the next big move in weapons for police?

I was wondering what everyone assumed would be the next move in police weaponry? It would be interesting to hear what people assume is on the horizon given the atmosphere today. It's a difficult time to ask for change when what we already have is under scrutiny.

    Amtrak derails

Seems as though this is happening a lot more often than anyone is willing to admit. What are the 'whys' or 'hows'? Philadelphia derailed train

What Would Make a Criminal Want To Go Back To Jail?

This happens a lot more often than we're made aware & the reasons vary dramatically. Some people feel safer in prison than outside especially after years of surrounding themselves with people who can do so. There are those who find it easier to eat, sleep, find drugs, & hustle inside than it is...

Weapons in the home and laws

America varies state by state but overall you are well within your rights to defend your home & yourself. So, if you have a license (in certain states) & your gun is registered (in certain states) & you use it when someone illegally enters your home it's within your rights to do so.

    Domestic disturbance calls

It really depends on whether you see something or whether you're just hearing it. The police investigate either way but I like to know for certain before anything. Seeing as there are those occasions where it backfires on you. In the same vein there are circumstances where you called & there was...

How Do You Deal With Mentally Ill People?

In a heated situation it's difficult for anyone (including police) to figure out if a person is drunk/drugged out of their minds, has a mental disability, or just intends on doing something stupid today. I'm sure if they had the information as to which one of these the person is dealing with...

Keeping yourself safe in your home

I wish I could but it kind of reminds me of antibiotics. As in after a while a tolerance is built. I'm not serious of course but when someone is drunk or high on certain things or they just generally aren't as affected as one should be it could be the case the pepper spray will not work as it's...

    More police officers shot!

I think media coverage is really only hindering the police. Criminals see an opportunity to take advantage of the police & their fear of shooting/hurting anyone lest they lose their job/are prosecuted. I want to believe there is an equal amount of fear but the truth is the only people afraid of...

    Inmate down

I'm not a huge fan of creating a dividing line between white cops & every other colour of cop. It seems the media circuit has decided to only cover cases where police abuse has racial differentiations & that's a dangerous thing to believe. I'm not saying it does not occur. Clearly it does...

Robber Returns To Crime Scene To Complain About Fake Gold Chain He Stole

I give him credit. Most robbers would not have the testicular fortitude to make this jeweler realize they are not going to get away with offering merchandise to paying customers when someone can easily steal it & complain in the exact same entitled way.

Keeping yourself safe in your home

I'm not familiar with the legality of tasers but I'm quite sure you could legally own a cattle prod. It creates a decent amount of distance & absolutely will put the intruder on their behind. This is more for the home though because it's tough to rationalize walking around with it.
