hello guys, I just wanted to know if the written test for Sheriff is same as for the Police? What is the best way to prepare myself to become a Sheriff?

My six year old son is afraid of the police. I'm not really sure how or why this has happened but I would like him to get of that. For some reason he needs an officer to help him, I don't want him to run away from one. What steps can I take to help him get over the fear?
